So for my last job of 2014, i spent the day shooting for new phone app, CC Collect, which launches in January 2015! I dont get to Present nearly as much as id like to, so when the opportunity arises, i welcome it with open arms. No autocue or earpiece needed today, just a 3 min piece of script to prep beforehand introducing the app to the public and will be featured on the website in the new year http://www.cccollect.co.uk
This was a first for me, playing both characters, Chloe & Emma (identical twins) for a medical film investigating the effects of Ulcerated Collitis in multiples. The short film was shot in the form of video diaries, each twin recording their varying stages of UC, which spanned from elation to struggling to cope with the illness. As an actor, todays shoot day was everything you’d hope for in this type of shoot. Because of having to switch from Chloe to Emma, the whole team needed to be on point to ensure hair/makeup/wardrobe was adjusted accordingly and i of course, needed to be on the ball with the script and the subtle but noticable character changes. A tiring and emotionally challenging day but a pro team and a happy client!
The chance to attend Q&A’s and networking events with industry professionals are hard to come by in London, its somewhat different to the USA, so when they do crop up, i’m there like a shot! This evening i attended a Q&A at The Ritzy hosted by the company that edited my actors showreel,Actors Apparal. Led by Duncan Roe, a panel consisting of a casting director, agent and actors, were at hand to discuss their part in the industry and answer any questions the audiences had and the evening was invaluable. It was busy but not so packed full of actors that you couldn’t get a word in edge ways, it was hosted really well and more importantly, everyone was given the opportunity to network after the event; actors sharing info and experiences and the panel were on hand to be approached and spoken with if you so wished. I hope to attend more by AA in the future (thats Actors Apparal, NOT Alcoholics Anonymous)
what's it all about?
A little blog of my work, alongside new friends & creatives i meet along the way...most probably the best way to see what i'm up to.
